Johan van Zyl

Director

Johan obtained his LLB degree in 2012 from the North West University, having already obtained a degree in BComm Economics and Law. He has also attended the University of Antwerp in Belgium to obtain further qualifications in European Legal Studies. Having been admitted in 2014,

Johan further obtained right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa and specialises in commercial and corporate dispute resolution.

He further has experience in insurance law, commercial litigation and arbitration, debt collection, family law and property law.

Zander Swanepoel

Director

Zander obtained his BComm Law and Accounting degree and Post Graduate LLB degrees from the North West University, whereafter he attended the University of Antwerp in Belgium to further his studies in European Legal Studies. He also attended and completed the Law Society’s School for Legal Practice.

Zander has valuable experience in property law, wills and estates, foreclosures, environmental law and general litigation. Subsequent to his admission as an attorney, he advanced his experience in property law with a focus on conveyancing matters and administration of deceased estates.

Tian Van De Vyver

Attorney

Tian obtained his LLB degree in 2018 and LLM degree in 2019 from Stellenbosch University.

Tian specialises in property related disputes, pertaining to inter alia commercial and residential lease agreements, body corporates, homeowners associations, arrears collections, evictions, offers to purchase, and applications to declare immovable property as specially executable.

He has further experience in general civil litigation, family law, wills and estates, and commercial contracts.

Bianca Basson

Candidate Attorney

Bianca obtained her LLB degree in 2022 from the University of South Africa (UNISA), having completed her matriculation at Maragon Private School in 2015. As a Candidate Attorney at Swanepoel van Zyl Inc., she is gaining practical experience in legal practice, with a focus on supporting the firm’s conveyancing and litigation matters.

Bianca brings a strong foundation in legal administration and client interaction, honed through her prior roles in administrative support and court-related work. Her responsibilities include drafting and formatting legal documents, conducting legal research, attending court, and corresponding with clients, demonstrating her dedication and enthusiasm as a team player.

Zani Watters

Candidate Attorney

Zani obtained her LLB degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA), having completed her matriculation at Bekker High School in 2013. As a Candidate Attorney at Swanepoel van Zyl Inc., she is gaining practical experience with a strong focus on conveyancing, supporting the firm’s property law practice.

Zani assists with property transfers, drafts legal documents, conducts research, and handles matters involving wills, contracts, and divorce proceedings. Her organisational skills and dedication enhance the firm’s commitment to delivering efficient, client-focused legal services.
